I have been to several SOTWI events and locations, and I absolutely love the addition of the Mastermind Dinners. The broader networking and the panels are amazing during the day, but it's not often that any of us get a chance to sit down and really hear what others are thinking, share my own challenges, and get meaningful perspectives from a whole room of others who are or have been in a similar boat. The Mastermind Dinners let us do exactly that.  It's such a rare treat to be surrounded by great company, amazing food, and a quiet atmosphere. I always walk away feeling like I can take on tomorrow with confidence, especially with the new local friends and potential partnerships I made around the table.

Working with Megan through SOTWI and the Mastermind Dinners has been incredibly valuable. I originally joined for the education and networking opportunities, and those are fantastic. Hearing from industry leaders and peers about what’s happening in the events industry right now is always insightful and energizing.

But what keeps me coming back are the dinners. Those smaller, more intimate conversations create space to talk honestly about the real challenges we face as business owners. Sometimes we already know what we need to do, but saying it out loud to a room of people who truly understand the industry helps bring clarity and momentum. It’s reassuring to know you’re not alone. It’s also much more real than the fleeting five-minute conversations at conferences where everyone tends to have their guard up. These dinners allow for honest dialogue, thoughtful perspective, and meaningful connection.

I knew I was excited to meet the panelists of the Hudson Valley SOTWI event, but I didn’t really know what else to expect nor could I have predicted how genuinely warm and supportive everyone would be. It started with insightful and relevant discussions, but things just got better and better with many interactive vendor experiences, activities to bond over and genuine conversations with like-minded people.

The Mastermind Dinner was really where the magic happened, the smaller setting allowing for vulnerability and depth. This was my first big networking event but far from my last. 

I would and have already recommended SOTWI to anyone looking to dip their toe into networking events or level up existing connections. You will learn something, you will make connections and you will have FUN!!
